The Craziest Intersections in the World

Intersections are accident hotspots. It can be so easy to get confused and get into a collision, especially if you’re driving on intersections with which you’re not familiar. This infographic from  Hussey Fraser takes you through some of the craziest ones from the different parts of the world and offers some general advice on what to keep in mind when driving on intersections. The Place de l’Étoile is a very strange one in Paris, France as you must give way to traffic entering the roundabout and it intersects with twelve major Parisian roads. In Japan, the Shibuya Cross is thought to be the busiest intersection in the world with large amounts of traffic and people passing through it daily.

Even if you’re at more generic intersections there are certain things you should keep in mind to ensure your safety and one big issue for young drivers especially is closure rates. They often find it hard to tell how far a car is away. Remember that a quick glance at a car in the distance only tells you how the far is away; not how fast it’s travelling.
